Seven Wonders of the World

A 7th Birthday Party Full of Adventure

Designing a party around a concept that has never been “done” in party form means that the sky’s the limit. In this case, the world was our oyster.

For this seventh birthday celebration, we explored the “Seven Wonders of the World.” The birthday girl greeted guests at the door with travel passports, and they were off! Children and parents alike learned about the seven wonders of the ancient world, plus some modern landmarks thrown in for good measure, through play.

The kids excavated ancient Egyptian relics, we built a Greek arch, and more! Then they visited the souvenir shop, where they chose a (temporary) tattoo and made snow globes with their favorite figurines. The decorations came together quickly, thanks to nonno’s decades-old stash of National Geographic maps and some vintage finds.

Looking back, all the birthdays may become a blur, but when anchored to a theme like this, it’s an unforgettable adventure.
